Actual-Laser bvba indelibly engraved brushed stainless steel plates of 2500 x 500 mm, gauge 10 mm. These plates feature on both sides various scenes from the local history and the unique star-shaped ground plan of the city. The plates were placed on the seven corners of the city and are part of a new national heritage walk which should uncover the story of the origin and history of Scherpenheuvel to the general public...
Artist Bruno De Smedt asked us to cut 2 plates in steel which were part of an artwork he made for a lawyer's office.
You can take a look at this artwork an many others on his website: www.houtsensuur.be. Nice work Bruno !
Commissioned by the local authorities of Middelkerke and the non-profit organization Ku(n)st we were in charge of the realization and coordination of an artwork on the renewed market square of Middelkerke. This artwork was designed by artist Raoul Servais and was offered to him in honor of his honorary citizenship. The paper drawings were converted into digitalized designs by us. The structure is built out of South Chinese natural stone and black granite in which brass figures were inserted. The artwork in its entirety is 6 meters wide and 2,5 meters high. By using different techniques like water jet cutting and laser cutting the different components were created. Stone mason Debeir from Ostend was responsible for the correct placement.
